Shigetsu is a core shojin-ryori, or Buddhist vegetarian cuisine, restaurant on the Arashiyama tourist route, set within the grounds of Tenryu-ji Temple. Tables can be booked in English via Klook and Savor Japan, and foreign visitors are welcomed. The refined multi-course meals showcase seasonal Kyoto vegetables at their best. Note that the temple garden requires a separate 500-yen viewing fee.
