Entoku-in Temple

Entoku-in was built in 1605 (Keichō 10) with the dressing hall and front garden (north garden) moved from Fushimi Castle; it is where Kita no Mandokoro (Nene) spent her last years. The dry-landscape north garden keeps the style of the Momoyama period and is a designated Place of Scenic Beauty. Open 10:00–17:00 (last entry 17:00), adult ¥500, ¥200 junior/senior high; a combined ticket with Kōdai-ji is ¥1,200. This year there is a night viewing 23 Oct–13 Dec, 17:00–21:30.
