A foreigner-run bar on Pontocho Alley (opened 2017) where English is the working language — comfortable even solo. No cover charge; the drink list covers Japanese whisky, sake, craft beer, and cocktails. Regular events include live bands, quiz nights, and English stand-up comedy. Ask the staff for Kyoto tips; they're famously helpful to tourists. Open until 2 AM on weekends.
