Koun-ji (Nanzen-ji Zen Center)

Reishizan Kōun-ji is an external subtemple of Nanzen-ji, now operating as the Nanzen-ji Zen Center. It hosts the Ikkō-kai zazen sessions on the second and fourth Sunday mornings each month, plus evening zazen every Saturday, with over ten thousand participants annually. The temple also houses a permanent memorial tower.
