Built in 1995 to mark 1,200 years since the founding of Heian-kyo, Kyoto's dedicated classical concert hall and home of the Kyoto Symphony Orchestra's subscription concerts. Two halls: the 1,833-seat shoebox main hall with its giant organ, and the 510-seat chamber hall "Ensemble Hall Murata." In Kitayama, 3 minutes from Kitayama subway station, in a quiet neighborhood. Prices vary by concert; tickets on the official site.
