In the basement of Miyako Messe, this museum covers 74 categories of Kyoto traditional crafts — Nishijin textiles, Kyo-yuzen dyeing, Kyo ware, lacquerware, and more. Films show the making processes, there are touch-and-feel corners, and artisans demonstrate live daily. Adults ¥500, elementary/junior-high ¥400; open 10:00–18:00. Off the bus at "Okazaki Park Museum/Heian Shrine-mae".
