A 1927 modernist building (542 seats) and the home stage of the Kamogawa Odori dance performances every May 1–24 (a tradition since 1872), run by the Pontocho association. Also hosts hogaku and Japanese dance recitals; it stood in for Minamiza during that theater's renovation. In Pontocho, 5 minutes from Keihan Sanjo Station. Dance-show tickets are mostly advance sale — buy early.
