Fushimi Inari Taisha's Hitaki-sai fire festival on 8 November: after the main-hall ceremony, over a hundred thousand hitaki-gushi prayer sticks offered by worshippers across Japan are burned at the shrine garden ritual site, followed by evening mikagura at 18:00.
