MU GA MICHILL Tour 2026 “Special Delivery”
Before you go
Three players: Tatsuya Nakamura on drums and percussion (ex-Blankey Jet City), Koji Nakamura — aka Nakako — on guitar and samples (ex-Supercar), and Mitsuru Nasuno on electric bass and devices (the core of Altered States). Launched in December 2016, the trio marks its 10th anniversary in 2026 — the official billing says exactly that. Improvisation is the base, pushed toward colour, transparency and ambience.
- Student-friendly: discount from ¥3,000, high schoolers and under free
- Getting there
- 3 minutes on foot from Hankyu Kyoto-kawaramachi Station, exit 11 (per Takutaku's official access page). Address: 136-9 Sujiyacho, Tominokoji-dori Bukkoji-sagaru, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto 600-8061. The venue sits in a quiet residential street — the official site asks visitors to arrive close to doors time and keep quiet after the show.
- Booking
- Tickets required: advance ¥5,000, door ¥5,500; student discount ¥3,000 advance / ¥3,500 door; high school students and under free. Buy at the Takutaku counter or by email reservation. Advance saves ¥500 over the door price.
- Crowds
- Small room, sells out when it is gone. Improvised-music shows draw regulars — buy advance.
- Good for
- Fans of improvisation, experimental rock and ambient music; followers of the members' former bands (note: this is its own project, not a reunion set). Students: there is a discount tier and a free tier.
- How it differs
- Unlike set-list shows from their former bands, MU GA MICHILL is improvisation-led — no two nights are the same. Compared with multi-act bills like their August 2026 night with SHURAXA at Shindaita FEVER, this is a standalone tour date. On price it is the most student-friendly of the three Takutaku nights: a student discount tier and free entry for high school students and under.
The three come from heavyweight backgrounds: Nakamura was Blankey Jet City's drummer, Koji Nakamura Supercar's guitarist, Nasuno Altered States' bassist. They formed the trio in December 2016 as what the official billing calls a 'new-departure dark rock triangle'. 2026 is year ten, and the tour is titled 'Special Delivery'.
How do I get the student discount?
Official tiers: ¥3,000 advance / ¥3,500 door. Buy at the Takutaku counter or by email reservation and ask for the student discount; bringing student ID is wise.
Will they play old songs?
This is a separate project — officially an improvisation-led 'new dark rock triangle', not a set from their former bands.
I don't speak Japanese. Is that OK?
Yes. It is instrumental improvisation — no language barrier.
