A new black comedy by the theater company Furosha, written and directed by Yuya Nishida. Taking inspiration from conspiracy-theory thinking, the play is set in the fictional town of Gokumachi and asks what happiness can mean in an age of social division. Blending sharp satire with theatrical inventiveness, it follows the company's earlier work A Lucky Reunion. With English subtitles provided, the production is fully accessible to non-Japanese-speaking audiences interested in contemporary Japanese theater.
