二年坂・三年坂

Ninen-zaka and Sannen-zaka are the old stone-paved pilgrim slopes to Kiyomizu-dera and Yasaka Shrine, lined with machiya townhouses from the late Edo to Taisho periods that, together with the Yasaka Pagoda and Kodai-ji, preserve an outstanding historic streetscape (the Sanneizaka Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings).
